Question:

Does beer make you fat??is is any worse than whisky or vodka?

Answers:
Alcohol contains sugars that can make you fat. All of them. But beer is generally worse BECAUSE you can consume more of it. As a general rule one 12 oz beer has the same amount of alcohol as a shot of whiskey. If you take a few shots of whiskey in comparison to drinking a dozen beers, obviously you are taking in less calories and therefore gaining less fat. If you drink a bottle of whiskey, however, you are not helping your cause any. Drink responsibly and you won't have as much to worry about.

Also stay away from 'cheap' liquors. They are normally less filtered (and less pure)....not to mention you are more likely to get a hangover!

There is a lot of calories in beer and with the grains used it will give you the "beer belly" if you don't consume in moderation.

And other alcohols should still allow you to gain as a result depending on consumption and if your eating. Always drink in moderation.

No no

If you look at the caloric profile of the macronurtients carbohydrate (CHO), protein (PRO) and fat (FAT), each provides a specific amount of energy measured in calories. Basic laws of thermodynamics say that if one’s intake of calories is greater than their expenditure, the excess calories will be stored in the form of body fat. Use the following chart to find the caloric value in foods and drinks.

Nutrient
Kcal/gram

CHO
4

PRO
4

FAT
9

Alcohol
7 Kcal/oz

For example, one 12-ounce beer yields 84 Kcal (12 x 7). On a typical drinking binge, several alcoholic drinks can be consumed, leading to excessive calories consumed for that day. That number alone doesn’t appear too alarming, but multiply that by the number of drinks consumed in one day, one weekend, cumulative amount in one month, and you begin to see how alcohol consumption might increase the storage of body fat. In most instances (not exclusively), many of the food items consumed at parties are high in fat and low in nutrients. Worst case scenario would have your client binging on food and alcohol and then going to sleep without adequate time for digestion.

I drink alot of beer everyday and I'm not overweight at all no beer belly.

Beer has a lot of fat in it. Spirits have fat too, but nowhere near as much, Vodka is the lowest calorie alcohol, whereas something like Peach Schnapps (which has the same amount of fat as 30 choc bars) is very fattening.

beer has a lot of yeast in it and does give you that "beer belly"

Nope, calories make you fat. Check out the calories in beer here:
