Exactly how do you make a cosmo?

I went to a bar yesterday, and for the first time ever a bartender didn't know how to make it. Well, though I truly enjoy them, I am not exactly sure what is in them!!! Please help! -Am

I'm giving the best Cosmo recipe which is selected as one of the best Cosmo in our city
4 cl of vodka citron(absolute)
2 cl of cointreau
4 cl of cranberry juice
orange peel for garnish.

shake the ingredient with 8 cubes of ice.
until it gets cold
pour in to the chilled martini glass
garnish with long orange peel.

1oz cointreau
1/2oz cranbreey juice
1/2oz fresh lime
pour in the shakerw/ice
serve in a cocktail glass

Stire with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
