Why some relagions forbid taking alcohol ?!

Question:

Why some relagions forbid taking alcohol ?

Answers:
It is not a sin to take a drink. The scripture says in one place, that it is okay to take a drink. But it also says in another place, that there will be no drunks in heaven. Proverbs 20:1, 1 Corinthians 6:10 There are more....
My dad, who was in "law enforcement" and often had to arrest individuals for public drunkenness, often told me this... "if you never take the first drink, you'll never become an alcoholic." ..........I was always so afraid of becoming addicted to alcohol that I left it alone, pretty much. I have never been drunk or even tipsy. No regrets. At a party once, a friend suggested that if I had a drink or two, it would loosen me up and I would have more fun, but losing control of your behaviour/speech is not my idea of fun. I never have had to drink to have fun. Nor do I feel that I am missing anything by not drinking. Have never "killed" anyone b/c of being intoxicated while driving wreckless. Enough said.
I make wonderful desserts, and often use "spirits" to enhance the flavor or give it a "kick." That is why I read this column; I'm hoping to learn something new or pick up a new tip.

The same reason some religion's won't let you eat certain meats.Or to get transfusions I'm glad I was born Christian.

I am sure you know.
the main object of religion is to control and dominate with the fear of hell... while leaders get rich and corrupt..

alcohol lowers inhibitions and increases sexual desire, imagine being in the desert, and women who are on their periods had to leave the villages and stay in tents on the edge of town, now you got a couple drunk husbands playing "brokeback moses" or adulterous behavior while the other husband is in the fields, and he finds out, (you know how small towns are) and now you have 2 dead people, one for murder, and one stoned to death for murder. get it?

There are some religions that we may think that do not drink, really do under certain circumstances.

Some drink in moderation

Some drink if its been blessed

But most of all, some drink Wine only if it's Kosher, these wines are:

1. Manishevitz

2. Gali Rose

3. Recanati Sauvignon Blanc

4. Castello di Cesare Rosso Toscano

5. Chateau Labegorce Margaux Grand Vin

There are many more but I will not go into great detail.

In essence, if its blessed it's ok to drink.

Hope this helps
