French Aperos. What's your favourite?

French aperatifs are great. And right now its the apero hour so I've got a chilled glass of Sarlanoix in my hand. A walnut apero from the Perigord.
Pineau, Suze, Kir, Pastis, Banyouls, Pommeau, Lillet, Dubonnet, Picon, Floc de Gascogne, Trouspinnette.

What's your favourite?

Kir is a cassis liqueur added to wine (white rose or sparkling)
Suze is based on gentian root and has such a bitter after taste it takes a lot of getting used to.
Pineau is grape must mixed with eau de vie and then matured and Pommeau is similar except it is apple based.

We experience increasing difficulties with the rate of alkohol in blood, in case of road control - that's why unfortunately aperitifs tend to disappear at the beginning of friendly meals -
The things you quote are sweet, true, but have a high rate of sugar -

I personally love a glass of chilled dry champagne or great white wine, as aperitif - don't forget peanuts, almonds or some tiny slices
of "saucisson" -
