I know that you're talking about alchohol but I have been sober from hard drugs sence christmas weekend.

If sobriety is what you want, go for it. One day at a time....
Personally I had nearly 9 years of Sobriety, took a 'best friend' who I had lust complications with (she was a stripper) to a Metallica concert in St. Louis, ended up meeting some people in the parking lot we didn't know who invited us to a party. Rather than getting laid, I got drunk off my ayRse, about 7 years ago next month. And kept putting them down, no guilt. And it saved me from the spirituality/sobriety racket.
The sad thing is I never thanked her. Sherry, wherever you are- a toast to you, a heavy-metal salute and my heartfelt thanks!!! >:)

Seriously, I applaud your sobriety if you are an alcoholic, but this is not the right area for you. This forum is made for people who want to talk about the beer wine and spirits that we can enjoy in moderation. I am sure there is an AA site or forum on yahoo.answers. Please locate it and good luck... damn I was sober for almost two minutes ..
