i'm not sure if i'm right, but it really depends on what you are measuring. tablespoon is a measure of volume. ounce is usually a measure of weight, unless i'm missing something in the baking world. Flour might weight less than sugar, for example, so the weights would be different for a tablespoon, for example.

Ok, according to the link, under "dry measurements", 2 tablespoons equal an ounce..the person above is correct.
