Is $8 too much to spend on a martini?!

Question:

Is $8 too much to spend on a martini?

Answers:
It depends on what kind of alcohol is being used and where you are eating/drinking.
If it's top shelf gin at nice place, $8 is okay.

a glass, think is ok, normally if i order a glass of orange juice at pub or ktv, that's the price.

That depends on the type of lounge you go to. If you go to a cheap lounge, yes 8 bucks for a martini may be a bit much. If you go to a classier joint, they may cost far more than $8.

I am going where you go I usually pay more.

Must have been in a posh place.

yeah, thats a little steep. i probably wouldnt pay any more than 7 bucks.

Is $3.50 + too much for a Starbucks coffee drink?

In a local pub or lounge bar, I wouldn't pay so much. But in a 5 star hotel bar or restaurant, they may charge even more. But it is really a question of how much you like martinis, and how badly you want one when you order it.
I don't like martinis, so I wouldn't pay even two bucks.

that is the usual price one would go for. I have paid around 15 dollars for one.
but it all depends where you go out, if the place is classy or not.
so i say 8 dollars is not too much at all

Depends on if your in a strip club drinking a well drink or if your drinking top shelf vodka or gin.

I would say that's pretty cheap.....

Wow, I hate idiots who brag about being able to afford all of these expensive things online, even though they probably can't. Of course eight dollars is too much, I can make one at home with top end Vodka for less than that much at the ratio of Vodka : Price at home and Vodka : Price at the joint.

$8 is a decent price for a martini. I have woked in places that the martinis start at $11. There is even a place I heard about that has one called the $10,000 Martini> You have to order it a day in advance and it comes garnished with a diamond engagement ring!

it's a little steep. i usually pay @ 7 bucks for one.
