Answers:

Muntons have a real good kit .i've tried the dark & light both and brew some really good beer.i put a 3pound can of malt with a 3pond can of malt extract its already hop flavored.i used 5 gallons of real good spring water and dextrose (this makes a full body beer)if you use a can of malt & a can of malt extract.you can use a 6gallion plastic pail with a shower cap over the top this keep the dirt out and actas a air lock at same time but a glass carboy is best with a air lock.let this ferment for about 4 weeks or longer if you like, siphon off into a 5 gallon pail add 1/2 cup of dextrose or 1/2 cup of sugar and bottle this .let this sit for about 8-9 months & you will really have a good tasting beer.i been experminting for a long time and have discovered this is what is best for me.let these beers get real cold and serve on a hot day after all the work is done or you will just want to sit & HAVE ANOTHER AFTER ANOTHER & NOT GET ANYThing done.be sure to keep evrything steril ( just santize with bleach 1 cup to 5 gallons of water & and rinse with this ,dont use this water for brewing just rinse everything with it to santize.good luck
