Question:

If I have a high tollerance for alcohol (10+ drinks) why do I now feel sick from only 3 or 4?

Answers: I have found that if you drink a lot of alcohol very regularly, your body will need a break occasionally to detox your system. Your liver has to process all the alcohol you consume. Your liver is simply asking for a break to repair itself. If your liver is fatigued, you will feel lousy. It cannot work that way every day without consequences. The body will crave alcohol, that's why it is addictive, yet sometimes you just need some time off to cleanse your system,since alcohol in high quantities is not healthy for your body or brain. Always listen to the signals your body sends you. If you don't feel like drinking, or if it makes you feel ill, just take a few days off and see how you feel. Your body won't lie to you. Source(s):

If you want to drink ten drinks eat a steak and some potatoes, or something like that, approximately two hours before commencing to drink copious amounts of booze. Also drink lots of water before drinking, also in between drinks, i am not a doctor but this has worked for me. good luck. THE ANSWER IS VERY SIMPLE;

Three or four drinks are inadequate to anesthetise your brain. You are so very accustomed to a ten+ regimen that your brain and body cannot handle the insipid, low level of METHANOL.

Your body is tough and accustomed to high levels of alcohol, so when you under-medicate your system, your stomach desires to vomit the low level of alcohol you have offered.

Your body becomes sick and tired of your mal-treatment of your system by your ingenerous treatment of robbing your gut of the tremendous volume of mind-boggling, bloating beer and alcohol which you generally imbibe and chug-a-lug: You probably don't even show enough respect for the hard-working 'brewers' to pour your lovely, amber, malt flavored libation into a nicely cooled or frosted glass.

The people living across the pond can drink tubs of good stuff 'cause they pour their suds into a beautiful stein!

Learn to become a connossieur of the brewer's art instead of just a short stopping point before the sewer!
