Question:

How can i stop drinking booze? i am only 21yrs. old, i drink til i pass out...?

Answers: I had/ have the same problem. What I'm doing right now is excersing day to day workout. Running and lifting weight's. I keep focus and try to keep myself busy from tedium or depression and have a relapse. Working out works if your into it. I had a great body and I started drinking till I passed out. almost day to day. I loss a job before and I recently got a DUI. Got out of shape. I feel like I don't have any energy at times. I get lazy. I know I can stop is my attutide. I don't need someone or AA. I know it has it come from within to stop. Set a short term goal for yourself without booze. Me. It's No booze till 2008. I'm back to working out. This is a No-Brainer.

Just don't take the first drink. It isn;t easy to say no, but you'd better start or it could lead to real alcohol problems. You know what to do.....talk to someone from AA. The agents are easy to talk with. Don't delay. You have your whole life in front of you. Its not how, its why. When you know WHY you need or want to stop then you will know how. Once you know why, focus on that when u are about to drink. Try to hang out with different people who don't drink as much as your other friends. whenever you go out tape your mouth shut...or...every time you go to a bar walk on your hands that way you can't hold a drink OK, that's a good indicator that you might be a bona-fide alcoholic. You may have a genetic predisposition towards alcohol consumption or addictions in general which would probably make drinking in moderation impossible, so I think it's best if you just stay away from alcohol altogether. The average drinker, even when he/she overindulges from time to time, does not end up passing out or having blackouts.
