What is your favorite Tequila?
I went to the store yesterday to buy more Tequila and there were over 30 brands to choose from. I usually just get a bottle of Cabo Wabo but want to explore a little more. Any suggestions and describe the flavor or why you like it. Thanks! I will have fun trying them all =p
Answers: Stay away from El Jimador, 1800, Patron (it's OK but very overhyped). I personally really like:
Herradura's anejo ($45) or Seleccion Supreme ($275)
El Tesoro de Don Felipe anejo ($45) or Paradisio ($100) or Anniversario ($160)
Cielo's anejo ($55)
El Tesoro's Anniversario is the single best tequila I have ever tasted. It is an amazing 7yr anejo, with a starting material containing 37% sugar (typical is 28-30%). It was created for the 70th anniversary of the El Tesoro brand and the bottle is worth every penny. It's the perfect blend of oak and agave flavors. You can't go wrong with any of the El Tesoro tequilas- they swept the most recent Wine and Spirits competition, with the top 4 tequilas all belonging to the El Tesoro family (Paradisio, Anejo, Blanco, Reposado). I've tried over 30 different brands of tequila and am training to become a tequila ninja Don Julio. Very smooth. I know a lot of young kids like Patron but actually Don Julio taste better. cmon cabo wabo is the best. u dont need training wheels. try sauza tres generations anejo. plata is ok. patron is ok but it's not the red rocker. jose. cuervo. margaritaville My favorite Tequila is :
21 % - " Wild Turkey "
21 % - " Cragganmore "
and
48 % " Cabo Wabo" (made in Oaxaca - with worm -)

I've heard good things about Herradura, Patron and Sauza, but that is what others think Tradicional or 100 A?os tequila blanco--i like herradura amatitan its 92 proof
tequila reposado--el tesoro de Don Felipe arandas. 80 proof
tequila anejo--chinaco. tamaulipas 80 proof
have fun!! Patron Silver is very smooth and doesn't burn like others. el jimador tquila smooooothhh!! Sierra Tequila is the best one.
