Arbor Mist?!

Question:

Arbor Mist?

I'm preparing a 5-course meal for my final prep. at culinary school and I was wondering what everyone would suggest would be the best flavor of Arbor Mist to serve? (The dishes include fish, a vinaigrette salad, chowder, and sorbet)

Answers: Wow, hey big spender! That's some high dollar stuff for school!

I'd go with a box of blush. Just buy whatever is on clearance. Wine doesn't interfere with the taste of the food so it doesn't really matter. Go cheap! For Arbor Mist, I would highly recommend "Sangria". You're serving Arbor Mist at culinary school?? Spend a few bucks and get a decent Souvegnoir(horrible spelling, I know) Blanc or Pinot Grigio instead of corporate wine coolers. Forget Arbor Mist, go with Boone's Farm! night train is better I'm with Linz...Boones Farm all the way. The Strawberry kind is sooo good. Strawberry Mad Dog is more sophisticated Does it have to be Arbor Mist? I think that's too sweet and fruity with dinner, more like a dessert wine. I'd go with a dry white, like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc to be served with a fish dish. If you absolutely have to use Arbor Mist, go with a white, least fruity version, like don't get a strawberry one for example. White goes well with fish. While I do drink arbor mist at home sometimes(usually the blackberry merlot), I would recommend going with a nice pinot grigio or even a white zin. You can find several inexpensive varieties at your local liquor store. I'm certainly not bashing your choice of wine I'm just guessing that at a culinary school presentation, you really want to impress. Good Luck! I don't understand why you would serve Arbor Mist if you are graduating from Culinary School? I think you should invest in a good bottle of wine, I would suggest a white to pair up nicely with your fish dish to complement your meal. A good wine may make the difference in your grade. If you do not know a lot about wine. Ask the people in the wine store to help you choose the best one. I would think you would want to make a great impression with this meal. Good luck! I'd have to go with the majority on this one...don't serve Arbor Mist for your final culinary school meal! There are plenty of good wines that won't cost you a lot more than it would. You don't mention if your fish is a white fish or a heartier one (like salmon or even tuna) but go to a local store that sells wine and discuss it with their staff. Your final grade is certainly worth it! Peach chardonnay. I would try any of the light ones. If it's just for fun and to enhance the meal, I think the one that is the fruity white zin...not everyone drinks and appreciates wine. So, this will be a great compromise...you can have wine, without that bitterness. And even though I'm sure you'd prefer a stronger drink, you definately don't want to get all tipsy at school. Have fun! you can use the expensive wines whenever you start to host meals at your place! The arbor mist will be a nice touch. Good luck and have fun! Don't let the downers dog out your original idea, I think it's a smart move! Save your money and just piss in the pot. Everyone will be delighted with the salinity! This has to be a joke right??

If it's not, unless you want a bad grade, stay away from Arbor Mist, Wild Vines, White Zinfandel, and Riuniti Lambrusco.

I would go with a Savingon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. Since you're obviously going all out for your cullinary school exam, why not just go with some thunderbird or sisco? lol if you do shots of silver patron before the meal you are sure to get a good grade...
