What is your favourite cocktail? (details please...)?!

Question:

What is your favourite cocktail? (details please...)?

Answers:
Well, I am of the opinion that the best cocktail of all time is the gin martini, made with Tanqueray. It is very difficult to get one made properly, however. It should always be made with gin (not vodka - horrors!), and I prefer them to be exceedingly dry (just a dropper of dry vermouth). For a martini to be at peak quality, it is necessary for the glass to be chilled and the gin to stirred ever so briefly - just enough to chill it, not to dilute it. An olive changes the flavor somewhat; I prefer a lemon twist in the glass. Perfection.

Vodka & club soda.

Details: Vodka & club soda.

Well a lot of people consider this a real "guy's" drink, but I've seen my mother back knock a few back in her time and in actuality it's very good. It seems a little like a martini but it's not.

Gin (I like Beef Eaters or Bombay Sapphire) on the rocks with an olive. Simple but sophisticated. Frankly the best way to ruin good gin is with even the suggestion of vermouth. And my preference is for anchovy stuffed olives, but I imagine most people will think that's an acquired taste.

well I agree on the martini, though I prefer a dirty vodka martini (ketel one vodka, few drops vermouth, and a splash of olive juice) if made properly, if I am at a bar where I don't know the bartender then I will just have vodka on the rocks

Zyr, Jewel of Russia, or Ketel one

Or on days I decide to drink beer, I will have have Irish car bombs, take a half pint of guinness and a shot glass with half baileys and half jameson, drop the shot in the guinness and chug, delicous

Margheritas

Details: With Cointreau instead of Triple Sec, fresh lime, crushed rock salt and the most important bit - it's freshly shaken, not frozen.

Favorite cocktail you ask?

Why that would have to be a Screw Driver. Classic, simple and if made right, a darn good drink. A close second would be an Irish Car Bomb. A shot of Irish whiskey, A pint of Guinness, and a bit of Bailey's; you can't go wrong!

Black Russian. Kahlua & Vodka with a sweet strawberry in it.

Jack Daniels and 7up!
