i know certain wines are better for fish or steak but what is best for a vegetarian meal?
Answers: I would think that depends on the kind of meal you're eating/serving. If it were a rich indian dish, I might chose a red...but if it were a light dish, or something served cold, I might chose a blush or white.
Think about the flavors involved in the food, and then think about what flavors in a wine would be complimentary.
Hope that's helpful!! it really depends on the flavors of the meal. asian type flavors go well with a gewuerztraminer, italian dishes with tomatosauce are great with a red valpolicella. ask at the wine counter of your liquorstore for specific pairings.
