Why, when we drink a strong alcoholic drink (that we say is horrid) do we drink more of it?
For example lol shots, some make you cringe with the first and second taste. Even if you say it is horrible do you still go back for more. I do :o)
Answers: You're still young. When people get older, they acquire a taste for all kinds of stuff they thought was horrible years before. People also tend to lose taste buds with age. Some people here say it's just from the buzz associated with the alcohol, I do not agree. Quite simply, people often experience a rush from strong and overpowering flavors after they've had them a few times. It's much the same way with spicy foods that contain a lot of red pepper. Or like riding on a roller-coaster, you might puke the first time, but of course you're gonna go back for more... because you cant taste it when your pissed! It's about the ''buzz''. because getting drunk is FUN!! cos by the time you piss heads finish the first shot - your pissed and want more Its probably twofold:
One - showing off to our mates that we are 'hard enough'.
Because it is the effect we are after.
Most shots I find to be fairly pleasant to be honest... because we say the taste is horride, the feeling howver, is not , so we have more it tastes so bad you need a drink to take the taste away.then it tastghn cssoe bade u avenover 1 2 tak the tasrtg away.who scares ill ave enno ver , cus it gets ya pished I guess it's just too addicting after the first try, like if ur mad, you drink once, and you think it's good, so you want another one, and it just goes on until you eventually lose to it, and you become addicted to it. No one on Earth drinks hard liquor "shots" because they are connoisseurs of the taste of the stuff.
One drinks "shots" because one wants to skip the giddy "buzzed" feeling and go straight to "senseless drunk". Hmm, haven't found a horrid one yet, I s'pose. WOW SHOTS ARE FOR *************** because we are born alcoholics! well i am! Cos you hope you'll get to like it... for escapeism, the world we live in today is a rat race ,and a drink once in a while get`s us else where for a while. so cheers.
