Glenfidich 12years or Johny Walker Green(15)?!

Question:

Glenfidich 12years or Johny Walker Green(15)?

Which one is better?

Answers:
Of course it depends on your taste.

You're comparing a single-malt to a blended Scotch whiskey here. The Scots started blending whiskeys because they believed that the strengths of one single-malt could compensate for the weaknesses in others, and vice versa--rather like master brewers will blend several batches of beer to even out the taste.

Americans seem to have flocked to single-malts as a sign of conspicuous consumption; let's not worry about the skill of the whiskey blender, let's get a shot of something that's strong enough to be tasted through the cigar smoke and not worry about whether it has a nice finish or a broad range of flavors.

If you can't guess by now, I'd consider the JW Green superior; in fact, I'd consider JW Red superior. Heck, I'd even prefer Scoresby's.

Glenfiddich

JW Green

I like Glenfidich - it has a nice smooth taste and isn't too peaty

they both suck.

Johnny Green...love that stuff!
