Which is more fattening: beer, wine or hard alcohol?!

Question:

Which is more fattening: beer, wine or hard alcohol?

Going with the general idea that one shot = one beer = one glass of wine, which is worse for you?

Answers:
Lite beer is generally 110 cal (12 oz)
Regular beer is generally 120 cal (12 oz)
A glass of wine is generally 80 cal (3.5 oz)
Gin, Vodka, Rum, and Whiskey is about 80 cal (1oz)

I'd say beer.

beer obviously

Beer has more calories than Wine, but the mix you use could also be high in calories

Beer is LOADED with carbs, Wine gives me a headache and Hard Alcohol usually comes out the next morning.

It depends on the beer, wine or shot.

Take for example, light beer versus regular beer: for the same volume, the difference could be as much as 50 calories (light beers generally have around 100 calories and, for example, Budweiser has 145 calories).

I don't know what the caloric content of wine is, but I'm sure it's a similar story.

Finally, a short of hard liquor can easily have 100 calories. Alcohol itself is very calorie rich. Plus, if you make a mixed drink, say whiskey and Coke, you'll also have to count the calories in your mixer.

umm i'd go with lard.

Beer is the most caloric of the bunch, stick with clear alcohol, ie. everclear, vodka, gin, schnapps, moonshine, clear tequilla, etc. These are the least caloric alcohols i can think of. And wine? Dont drink wine, not enough bang for the buck. I bet keystone light trumps everything for the least fatening of all alcohols. But with less calories comes less flavor, and unless your drinking to get drunk who cares about calories?

Beer - it has carbs. It also causes "Beer Bellies".

Beer = 360 ml beer is equal to 6 slices of white bread.

Forget about calories, think in terms of alcohol content. alcohol turns into sugar in your body which in turn becomes fat. The fizz of a beer is bad for you,but its alcohol content that really hurts you.

Beer is more fattening...but the safest of them all. 3 bottles or a liter a day is good enough.

Beer, then wine, then hard liquor.

It depends on the type and the amount you drink of each.

Each ounce of alcohol has about 200 calories then you do the math.

Beer 5% 12 oz = (12 oz * .05)= oz of alcohol * 200 = 102 Calories

Wine 10% 8 oz = (8 oz * .10)*200 = 160 Calories

Whisky 40% 1 oz = (1 oz * .40)*200 = 80 Calories

Note that 80 proof is 40% alcohol

Beer
eer heard of the term "Beer Bellies"

Yeah beer as carbs and nothing but calories. thats why they even made light beer

I love beer though, but im more of a wine and hard alcohol kind of person

beer
