Does drinking alcohol change your urine color?!

Question:

Does drinking alcohol change your urine color?

I know when I drink heavy my urine usually is sort of clear, but after many hours it's darker. Is that an indication of alcohol levels?

Answers:
It changes every thing about you destroys your liver, changes your personality, destroys your family, takes away your job and can out you in the gutter.

it is an indication of you dehydration levels

The more beer you drink, the darker your urine - and smellier too.

It gets darker cos the alcohol makes you kind of dehydrated. so the urine is more concentrated

it causes more wastes and therefore darker urine

no, god your so stupid !

'Anything 'other than water (H2O), will change the color of your urine. The dark color is a indication of the lack of water in your system. Drink lots of water, your body needs it, your skin needs it, your organs need it, esp. your kidneys, if you are a drinker, even in moderation, drink water before, during and after (esp. after). keep those kidneys flushed. You don't want adrenal failure, or even worse liver failure, not to mention dry skin, flaky scalp, dark gums, loose teeth, etc. Water is the key to a healthy body.

It's a combination of things. Alcohol is diuretic and causes dehydration which concentrate your urine and makes it darker, it's also enhanced by your liver breaking down the alcohol and your kidneys working to remove those byproducts.

The more beer I drink it look see through; so it looks like I drink a lot of water making it lok healthy...but its all just beer

Stupid's answer using the word stupid.

Beer is a diuretic, a good drink to have with a
meal of real food(not mcdonald's). When you
drink, the first the wonderful feeling of emptying
your bladder, a normally healthy person(??)
will have clear urine. Because the stomach or
the disestive system has somehow taken the
golden color out of the beer. It isn't beer any
longer, my bet is that it's h2o.
Then,
later on toxins in your body, NOT produced by
the beer, are flushed out. Those toxic
substances account for the darker
coloration when you pee. But I don't
claim that to claim to know why beer
makes yours turn a darker golden.
If after partying hard,
your urine starts turning some other color like
burgundy, then you need to worry something
is wrong. It's nature's way.

When I get my first check, we'll party

....

The same thing happens if you drink a lot of water, it is the ammount of fluids you are taking in, not the alcohol.

I have been drinking for so many years my urine is dark yellow and reddish in color.
