What kind of alcohol should I keep in my house for women?!

Question:

What kind of alcohol should I keep in my house for women?

I'm coming out of a long-term relationship where neither of us drank alcohol, so I know nothing about social drinking. I don't plan to drink now (alcoholism runs in my family), but I do want to be a good host and keep some drinks in my house for when I have people, and especially dates over. What kinds of alcohol should I stock that most women will like and how do I store it?

Thanks!

A few people have said "good wine" or "good vodka" -- I don't know anything about alcohol. What is a good wine? What is a good vodka? Please give me brand names, etc. Thanks!

a good rule of thumb is to grab a white and a red bottle of wine to keep on hand(Never chill red wine it's meant to be warm when drinking it)
sometimes wine coolers are good to have on hand also (there are plenty of flavours to choose from)
some women like to drink vodka and orange juice or cranberry juice..(Schmirnoff is a good brand)
a summery drink could be strawberry daquiri(which is rum) or pina colada (also rum) you can get their recipies off the internet*
Peach schnapps with lemonaide and ice cubes is a refreshing summer drink also. YOu can store the peach schnapps in the freezer to keep it chilled* or the fridge~

good wine and vodka.

Some people store vodka in the freezer, it's just fine in a cupboard or on top of youre fridge. Wine should be stored in a cool dark place.

a nice wine, zinfandel or a riesling

Malibu Coconut rum is my personal favorite (its good with orange juice, sprite, pepsi, etc ) some girls like just beer, or perhaps vodka & cranberry juice. It really just depends on the girl.

Red Wine!

Tequila or Jager!

A good wine, Vodka mixed with something, and light beer.

Some wine, Midori, and some tequila for the easy girls.

Wine is always good....maybe some peach schnapps, a fruit-flavored vodka, a sweet liqueur like kahlua or baileys.
There is a local Missouri company called Mccormicks who make a chocolate chip cookie liqueur. It is great straight or with coffee, or mixed with cream over ice.

One more good suggestion. Buy a few bottles of Toad Hollow vineyards sparkling wine called "Risque". There is a drawing of a can-can dancing toad on the label. You can close the bottle with the vaccuum cap if she doesn't drink it all. It has a little less alcohol than typical sparkling wine, and a really soft, almost babypowder flavor. It isn't expensive, but really tickles the senses. You'll see what I mean when you taste it.

Tequila if you want them to be naked women...Just kidding. I like hard liquor, but most women prefer fruity flavors and flavored martinis. If you don't want to go the liquor route, get some wine coolers or a berry wine. And if you are going for top shelf vodka, you can't beat Grey Goose...for cheaper, tastier vodka, try Burnett's Cherry Vodka...mixes great with Coke!

I was raised with all women and I can give you some good suggestions on alcoholic beverages. Red and white wines are great to have around the house, very casual and good with a meal. If you want to have more fun, Vodka is a favorite with women but do not forget the mixers, cranberry, pineapple and orange juice. Last but not least ALWAYS have a bottle of champagne for the romantic nights. Good luck

i'd say keep a small variety of popular liquors on hand such as one each of whiskey, vodka, and tequila, plus a white rum and a spiced rum and soda for mixers. also, bacardi and smirnoff ice drinks, or wine coolers are also very popular anong women..

jack daniels, wine coolers are good too.

100% blue agave tequila, margarita mix, margarita cups and an ice crushing machine(blender is just as good).

Wine is a good choice. Particularly something like a Johannesburg Riesling or Chardonnay.

As for stronger stuff, consider some Kahlua so you can make mixed drinks such as White Russians - be sure you have all the other necessary ingredients, too.

Captain Morgan and coke is a drink some women like.

Some women even like martinis - especially things like raspberry martinis and so forth.

Margaritas are another good option.

Again, with mixed drinks, be sure you have all the necessary ingredients so you can properly make the sort of drink you offer them.

Beringer White Zinfandel for the wine women love it and Absolute or Grey goose Vodka, Good luck.

My favorite vodka is Fris. I prefer a good red wine. Pinot Noir. my favorite brands are Estancia and La Crema. Pepperwood is a decent lower end pinot noir. Store you wine in a dry place. Get a wine rack. Keep the vodka in the freezer and keep some cranberry juice on hand for a mixer. Good luck!!

hey there! I've been a vodka drinker for more than 10 yrs and i pretty much could tell some of their differences. My personal brand is LEVEL. WHY?

* it's so smooth when u drink it...it doesnt make me feel like im drinking rubbing alcohol

* No after taste!

* NO hangover!

RED WINE however is healthier because it helps prevent blood clots and reduce the blood vessel damage caused by fat deposits. Many studies investigated the benefits of red wine suggested that moderate amount of red wine (one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men) lowers the risk of heart attack for people in middle age by ~ 30 to 50%

I'm a woman and at any given time I have my Vodka and Red Wine.

Vodka u can mix and match with something else like 7-up for a Vodka-Seven or Cranberry Juice.

Red Wine you can just pour in a glass. Now, if u wanna impress your women guest u might wanna keep some good crackers, cream cheese and CAVIAR. It doesnt have to be an expensive Caviar. Crackers with cream cheese and caviar on top of it?! ...while sipping RED WINE?! wow!

Champagne, champagne and champagne.

alcohol in gel.. it's the best for cleaning windows!
XD
Sorry to hear about you finishing your relationship.
don't drink. the fact that you had an alcohol free relationship is great, and should be very cherrished. you can't ask for more.. But it doesn't mean you can't drink, just remember that sh*t happens once you're drunk.
Don't worry about alcohol/the kind of drink to serve. it shouldn't be the main conern of your future relationship.
Be very careful about your future partner:
1.) does she drink a lot /is she a partier ?
if she is, it's most likely that you get into a problematic relationship.
2.) what does she do of her time? study? spends the whole day watching tv?
it's very important to know if she uses her time wisely, or if she just wastes it.
A woman can save a man's life as well as destroy it, that's why the partner choise belongs to the most important desicions in life.
That's my best advice.. you have to be very careful with what kind of woman you get involved with, especially further in your adult life.
Cheers,
ignacio

I think white goose and orange juice mixed with ice cubes...

alize u cant go wrong with that

Hpnotiq is popular with the ladies, also Amaretto sours:1 1/2 oz Amaretto
3 oz Sour mix
Rare to find a lady that doesnt like amaretto sours,I like them too.

Well me being a woman, a guy would impress me if he had a good Merlot or Chardonnay; a good vodka such as:Belvedere or Grey Goose; and the proper mixer ingredients to make a cosmo or appletini.

Tequila! If we're not easy before, we'll be easy after!!!! All joking aside, I like a good mixed drink (preferably fruity) drinks. I lie a lot of different types of drinks, but females usually like to stick to fruity "girly" types of drinks.

Bella Serra Pinot Grigio, Beringer Chenin Blanc and Kendall Jackson Merlot. If they are not a wine drinker, good brand of amaretto (1 oz) with club soda and a lemon twist over ice in a tall glass. It is very refreshing and sweet. Also, Blue Moon White Belgian Ale.

The older more sophisticated woman would enjoy it if you had some wine available. For the younger partiers it is always good to have at least a bottle of vodka and rum around because they can mix with about anything in the house.
