Any idea for an easy to make alcoholic drink that I can use as a signature drink?
My friend is having a art show and she does not what to have a full stock bar, so any idea would be great
Answers: Welches frozen concentrate mixed with rum. mmmmmm coconut flavored rum (like Parrot Bay) and cranberry juice vodka mixes really well with any kind of juice you like. and you don't need to buy expensive stuff . . . middle shelf mixes nicely . . . cranberry is popular on its own, but i like to add a splash of rose's lime juice to that, too.
top it off with a piece of lime and you're all set! I think a good idea would be to choose the signature drink according to the theme. Is the decoration going to be of a certain color palette? Choose a drink that matches. I would stay away from fruity drinks. Some people will drink it like koolaid and get loaded. I'd say red and white wine and light beer. That won't let anyone down. guys...any licqour and any mixer..use your imagination,WINE,WINE,WINE,and something!. Mixed drinks:Black tooth grins, Vodka and red bull, Vodka and Dr. pepper,
rum and coke. Any ?'s on how to make those, email me.
Beer: Heineken Lite. Good beer, less carbs.
Wine. Red wine stains.
I'd suggest going with a light white Rhine wine. You can go with a relatively unknown winery, and people will assume that you've chosen a really choice wine, when in fact, you're giving them a really cheap wine. Light white Rhine wines are not complex, and they all bear a great resemblance to Blue Nun, the best-known of the category.
Liebfraumilch translates as "loving mother's milk" and many people know that when the winery gets done making their vintage wines, they toss the rest of the wine together and sell it as liebfraumilch. Essentially, it means "rotgut wine" although it's usually a very good wine, but it's an everyday wine, not a special-event wine.
Blue Nun isn't a liebfraumilch. It's a Riesling.
I'd probably glom onto some Lanzenreiter Niersteiner. It runs $7.99 a bottle in Pennsylvania ($5.99 until the end of September).
The problem with beer is that you need refrigeration - a LOT of refrigeration - and beer has a pedestrian image. Wine has an upscale image - and you won't have as many people getting drunk. RC Cola and cheap vodka can't be beat!
