What are the drinks prices like at Lumley Castle near Durham?

Answers: I have been to the medieval banquet at Lumley Castle quite a few times, and you get mead supplied with the meal. As for drinks from the bar, i would say they are a little bit more expensive than from a usual bar, but i think its worth it as i love having nights out there. I think I pay about ￡3.50 for a Tia Maria and diet coke, but dont hold me to that coz i usually have quite a few and might have 'forgot' the real cost. I usually take about ￡100 with me but always bring some home too. I would either not bother attending or take out a loan!! Prehaps you could take your own, Tescos have good deals at the moment. Prehaps you could get the brides father to pay for the bar! If they're anything like the price of the rooms they'll be expensive. To be honest though I think they're round about the price you'd pay at a normal city centre pub. It's a beautiful castle though so enjoy yourself.
Oh by the way, are you staying overnight? You don't scare easily do you? I hope you've been warned that it's HAUNTED!!! ha ha went to a wedding there about 2 years ago and and they were pretty steep but thats what you expect from a country house hotel.
