Wines sold in the USA and from 2006 in the EU need the statement that the wine contains sulfites

Sulfur has been used as a preservative and sterilizer since antiquity, and it is also produced naturally as a by product of fermentation.

Unless less you suffer from asthma you are most unlikely to get any reaction from sufites in wine.
