Lucid is what it is called I've tried "Absente" imported by (Crillon Importers LTD) Paramus N.J. USA and its good, and legal, and it gets you buzzed like any 110 Proof booze. I live in Switzerland, where Absinthe was created and has been traditionally made for over a century and I can tell you it is still made the same way as before. Contrary to what you may have heard, as I have too, Absynthe's psychotropic effects are a myth. It is true that there are elements in Absinthe which could, if taken in large enough quantities, induce a psychotropic reaction. However, the volume of Absinthe you would have to drink to feel it would kill you long before you felt it.
But no, I haven't tried the ''new'' one. Here are some reviews of Lucid:
