Does anyone have experience as a bartender? What is it like?
In some places I frequent, it does seem like a real chore. Not a party at all, esp. with the loud music and the drunks yelling at you. Of course rockstars don't mind that, but they don't have to get a drink order right. Additional Details

I'm one of those persons that people get so upset at, because I have trouble making change and can't count it back. I can read, write and spell better than the average though. Way better. So now that I think about it, bartending wouldn't be for me.

So now that I think about it, bartending wouldn't be for me. it is hard work, it requires the ability to multi-task, while carrying on 5 different conversations at the same time with a manager, cocktail server, waiter, customer, and barback. drunk people can be difficult to handle, but the money is great.
