Alcoholic beverages contain zero fat, unless you're looking at one of those century-old concoctions made with a raw egg like a Rummy's Breakfast.

If you're cutting down to lose weight, avoid the sweeter liquors, sweet wines, and the cream ales.

Saw an article this morning that medical researchers found your body's HDL and LDL cholesterol both are in their healthiest form when you consume 7 to 15 servings of alcoholic beverage per week. Seems less than generous to me...

Alcoholic drinks may contain no fat but they do contain calories :)

The rough calorie content of drinks:

Pint of lager - 160-180 calories
Glass of wine - between 75 (dry) and 100 (sweet) calories
Pub measure of spirits - between 55 (whisky) and 75 (brandy)
Pub measure of liquer - between 80 and 100

Still - I keep deluding myself that the 200 yard walk to the pub burns off all those calories ;)

I find that, when drinking, it is best not to concern oneself with "fat grams". Just worry about how much money you have and how many beers you can afford! Cheers indeed!

uh........look at the label?

loads for a guess all alchohols fattening which bloody sucks

fat is not the issue here.. if you are on a diet - stay away from beer. :(
