Lemon Grand Marnier?!

Question:

Lemon Grand Marnier?

Has anyone ever had a lemon flavored grand Marnier? Where did you have it at? I've seen it in Greece and Cuba. It's called Cordon Juane or something like that. It looks just like the Grand Marnier bottle and is made by the same company. It's not available in the Us---Does anyone know why?

Answers:
The Cordon Jaune is not lemon flavored. It is also orange flavored, just like it's big brother.
The Cordon Jaune contains a cheaper french brandy, not the aged Cognac that is in the Cordon Rouge. That is the difference.

I've tried a couple different liquors in Europe a few years back that were really good, but not available in the US. They just don't distribute to these parts of the world....

I don't know any sites offhand, but I'm sure that it can be found somewhere online. Or if you have any speciality liquor stores where you live, they might be able to order/find it. We have a couple upper scale liquor stores that will help track down stuff like what you're looking for.

Try finding a lemonchello, it is an Italian drink made from lemons sugar and alcohol. It would not be exactly the same, but would mix OK as a substitute

I found some for sale in Germany! Cheers!
