Any beer lovers out there?!

Question:

Any beer lovers out there?

I love beer. I am by no means an alcoholic, I drink one or two beers a day, except on special occassions I may have a few. I usally drink Bud Light. Lately I have been trying different stuff. I like Rollin Rock, but it leaves a bad after taste. I like Bud Select and I love Bud Ice. The only beer I dislike is regular Budweiser and Miller Lite. Any suggestions on something new I can try?

Answers: There are several great beers out there. I suggest visiting a specialty shop or a grocery store with a great beer/wine selection and people who know about them.

I like Guinness, Celebrator, Delirium Nocturnum, Purple Haze, and there are a couple that you can only get a Whole Foods that I like Lamar Street is one and I can't remember the other.

Give them a try it should be fun! I usually drink Bud Light too, but I also like LaBatt's. I don't like dark beer though, its never been something I can get into. I like beer! In terms of the types of drunkeness you can feel, beer > liquor. So I tend to drink it more often.

I drink a beer or two a day myself, and I happen to love Bud Light and Coors Light. Miller Light ain't bad either, you know -- they both taste similar to me.

Amstel Light is not that bad. It leans more towards Miller Light in terms of taste, but its still very smooth -- very. Oktoberfest is an aquired taste; it took me more than a few to get used to it. Miller Genuine Draft is another one that's pretty okay - again, it's an aquired taste.

I have yet to try Rollin Rock, though :) I am a bit of an expert on beer. I enjoy a darker beer. Try Amberbock, Yiengling, Sam Adams Bostaon Lager. If you like really strong beer...... Go with Guiness. If you do not like the darker beer go with Corona, or my new favorite LandShark Lager (Jimmy Buffet Beer), you can not find it everywhere, but it is great. I try to stay away from the common run of the mill stuff like coors, bud, etc. They are too boring.

Another great thing to try is go to a microbrewery. They have a great selection of beer that you can try and see what you like. Most big cities have a least one. Rolling Rock tastes like Alka Seltzer to me. Same as Blue Moon. Try Helf Wietzen. (spelling?) I really like. It is a wheat beer. Also, Pete's, Leinenkugal's, and Sam Adams are really good. Lagers are the tastiest to me. You can't drink too much of it though. Too filling. Also, why does it seem to be, that the better tasting beers rip up your stomach the next day, and confine you to the bathroom? They do with me anyway. Beer seems to give me a worse hangover than hard liquer though. I've always been like that. Don't know why. I'm a big fan of Canadian beer - Molson, Labatt, Moosehead for example. They're really smooth without a bitter aftertaste like some German beers that I've had. You can start by picking up a Hoegaarden with a slice of orange. The orange will brighten up the notes of orange zest used in the brewing. From there it all depends on if you want to go for more light fair or move onto the heavy hitters. If you are willing to try a higher ABV beer go for a Rochefort 10. Beware, it has twice the alcohol content of the Bud products you've been drinking! This is a sipping beer. I'm personally in love with Dogfish Head products. It is almost the time of year to get their Chicory Stout and you can pick up the 60 and 90 Minute IPAs year round. Good luck!

And to G: Guinness is not a high alcohol beer. In fact it has less alcohol (4.1%) than most lagers (5%). Blue Moon is a great belgian white ale brewed with orange peel and coriander, drink it draft with orange peel my personal favorite. There's Coors, Stella Artois, Sam Adams Seasonals... coors lite is really good drink it all nite long, and every once in awhile i like amberbock
