Virgin Drinks??
At my friends bridal shower we are having a beach theme and we thought it would be cute to have virgin pina coldas and margitrita and daquris there but to make them virgin do you make them the same way but just leaveout the alcohol? Or is there another way to make them? I knwo in some you put falvored alcohol in them so would that change the taste alot by leaving it out?

There's no flavored alcohol in the drinks you mentioned. Just make them the same way but without the alcohol. Better yet, make them frozen drinks!

I make them the same way, just without the alcohol. Sometimes though, if you are using premade drink mixes, the drinks can end up being too fruity. If that happens I add a little bit of tonic water. You can add as much tonic water as you would alcohol, but usually I add less water than I would have alcohol. It turns out great. You get a little of the acidity that alcohol normally brings, without the alcohol.
why would you drink virgin drinks?
just drink the regular drinks, i dont see what is "cute" about a virgin drink... hihi we're pretending to be 7?

i think its just you leave the alcohol out. i have had virgin and regular margitritas and they taste pretty much the same with and without it!
If you buy the frozen kind then the flavor shouldn't change much a t all if you don't add alcohol. Usually you'd add a clear alcohol with not much of a taste...except the alcohol taste, so It shouldn't change at all! HTH's!
ok you can buy beer that has no alcohol in it and still has that beer taste, so there are things that you can buy for virgin drinks try putting gingerel in it for the corbonasion taste .

Why leave the alcohol out? But if you must, it doesn't change the taste much in sweet drinks. Leaving alcohol out of the drinks makes them virgin, putting it in girls makes them not.

I don't drink alcohol but I LOVE virgin Margaritas and Strawberry Daquris.
Look in a nice grocery store, near the frozen cans of O.J and you'll find Bacardi cans of Margarita and Strawberry Daquri, and Pina Colada. All you do is NOT add the alcohol it calls for.. They taste great! Maybe not exactly the same as with alcohol, but they're good. They're easy to make. The instructions even allow for you to NOT add the alcohol. The isntructions will explain it all..
By the way, frozen is the way to go!!

pretty much the answer with the gingerale is the way to go. it gives a kick to the drink, without any alcohol in it. here is another recipe for a virgin sangria. it is actually super delicious, easy to make and a great hit everything i have a party and people are amazed that it does not have any alcohol in it:
get a large punch bowl. filled the bottom of it with 1 large can of fruit cocktail, juice and all. then get 1 or 2 cans of hawaiian punch and pour it in the punch bowl. then get a litre of gingerale and pour that in to. instead of using ice, to keep it cool and water it down, get some sorbet. any flavor is good, i personally like mango or raspberry. place about three to four scoops of it in the bowl. as soon as the sorbet melts away add more sorbet.
that is it.
and you know what there is nothing wrong with having drinks at a party that are non-alcoholic. sometimes being careful is actually being a better friend.

I worked in a restaurant & when people requested virgin drinks we put an equal amount of sprite to the alcohol required, that way they don't get too think.
ps-try putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream in your pina coladas
daiquiri lemon drinks go to food network and type in virgin drinks.
