What is the best bourbon?!

Question:

What is the best bourbon?

Answers:
Old Fitzgerald! Bottled in Bond! It's what great bourbon should taste like! Hands down!

That was my mother's drink and I have to agree. It is not as sweet and has a deeper richer taste than Jack or Jim. Old Granddad has a taste somewhere in the middle and will do in a pinch.

Maker's, Booker's, etc... are closer to tasting like great bourbon than most of their cheaper counterparts but at double the price of Old Fitz (and triple in most bars) it isn't usually worth paying the difference.

Absolutely and without a doubt... Jim Beam!
Tastes great in Coke or by itself. Bourbon only comes from one place in the world...Kentucky, and there are lots of Kentucky bourbons, but none with the history and flavor of Jim Beam. they have been making it for 212 years! That's plenty of time to perfect the recipe! :-)

Buffalo Trace is some great bourbon. I recommend it over makers mark, or Knob Creek. Great stuff. If you have the money, Wild Turkey Rare Breed is exceptionally smooth.

Woodford Reserve is about as good as it gets. Honorable mention goes to Maker's Mark and Blanton's.

And anyone who mixes soda with bourbon doesn't know a thing about good bourbon. Just the simple thoughts of a raging alcoholic. :)

Oh my goodness, bourbon is so terrible. I used to not mind it until we made these cookies with bourbon in them... and now it makes me gag!

Just buy the most expensive kind.

Maker's Mark

For my money, Makers Mark.
It's great straight and makes a delicious Manhattan!

Jack Daniels all the way! The older the better. Mix it with Coke or just have it on the rocks. Mmmm my favourite.

Russells' Reserve 10-Year-Old on the rocks. Wild Turkey Rare Breed is smother but I love the smoky flavor of Russells' Reserve. Mixing good bourbon with Coke is sacrilege and also Jack Daniels is NOT bourbon.
Cheers!
