Am I weird for picking Lonestar beer over "better" pricier ones?
My boyfriend loves to drink imports like Guiness, Fat Tire, Heineken, Dos XX, Grolsh and so on. I love Lonestar. He thinks that this is weird because lonestar is cheap and "not as good" I agree that it is cheaper and maybe not as fancy tasting. But I like it. What would you say?

drink what you like! i know what you mean, though. some people can be so tedious about imports, microbrews, etc. (not to slam your boyfriend, but you know what i mean). sometimes a girl just wants a budweiser!

besides, i bet with half of those people, if you gave them a blind taste test, they wouldn't know what they were drinking anyway.

It's true to drink what you like, but there is a major difference. Beers are like wine, there are several different types, and its always your preference on what to drink. If you like cheap, go cheap, if you like to have great quality find the ale, lager, or pilsner that best suits you.
Not weird at all, Personally I am a big fan of PBR in the bottle, but dear god not in a can. Go with what tastes good to you.

Not at all - you like beer. Do what you like. Everyone likes to occaisonally have a Guinness or one of those $8 dollar beers in the mini-bar at your hotel. You will do just fine and don't feel guilty kid. You buying?

I see that one responder has never heard of Lonestar. I say that is a shame. That is almost as bad as never having the sweet nectar of an ice cold Shiner Bock cross their lips (which, by the way, Charlie Sheen was drinking in a recent episode of Three and a Half Men!). Lonestar, the national beer of Texas is a respectable beer. This comes from a man that spend two spring breaks wolfing down Natural Light!!!
I say drink it. My wife's 70 something grandmother has been drinking Lone Star Light all her life and she is still kicking!
