Recipes for alcoholic ice pops....?!

Question:

Recipes for alcoholic ice pops....?

I recently purchased those trays that you can make ice pops with. Does anybody have any good recipes to make an alcoholic ice pop? Websites would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I know that I can't freeze alcohol. However, I'm told that if mixed with something else, it will freeze. Looking for simple recipes.

Alcohol is very hard to freeze. But I did find a few websites that have recipes...not much alcohol, but the way I think, some is better than none. Also, I've done slushies as an alternative...I've bought those little paper cups (like the ones geloti ice comes in) and they came out great....ENJOY!!!

Let me know how they turn out...sounds like a good summer treat and less conspicuous than say, walking down the street with a bottle of beer in hand lol....

You cannot freeze alchohol (at least in a normal freezer)
Next question!

Many alcohols do not freeze well. The higher proof ones especially.

Here are a couple of recipes you could try

You can try other recipes and substitute alcoholic drinks for juice and such. Or you can try freezing alcoholic drinks. Just remember the higher the proof the less likely it will be to set properly. If you find a recipe you like that doesnt quite set up right try reducing the alcohol and upping the other ingredients.

I have heard of jello pops with alcohol which you freeze in ice trays. Sorry, don't know how to make them.

alcohol cannot freeze, but if mixed with something it will. So if you want to make an ice pop your juice or whatever it is will be 6 to 7 parts more than the alcohol. It will take longer to freeze than normal. That's just like with jello shots if you don't mix them properly the jello wont set.

hmmm, redwine ice pops are nice, diluted a bit with water. lol or 4 a summers day, vodka nd a bit of lemon

You just won't have a very alcoholic drink if your try to make an ice pop per say. You can make slushees galore (i.e forzen margs or daquiris) I like to put rum and cokes in the freezer for a few hours - great slush and serve with fresh lime - that'll make your Saturday afternoon kick butt. But alas by making a "pop" would make the alcohol negligible.

kool aid and vodka or tequila try it send me two
