Laws regarding Fake IDs?!

Question:

Laws regarding Fake IDs?

If one were to try to use a Certificate of Registration from a foreign country's college to buy alcohol (in the US), but it's actually someone else's Certificate of Registration (which is technically not an identification card), could this person get in trouble legally? Is it likely this would happen?

Also, especially in the state of Massachusetts. They can refuse to sell you anything and take that certificate from you. They are obligated to turn this over to the police to. You wont get into trouble so much, but you wont get the goods your trying to buy. Liquor licenses are different in every state but they all have a respnsibility to not sell to people unless they are genuinely of age. yeah not really, they would just say it was stolen or lost.. cant really do anything about that I'm pretty sure using anyone else's ANYTHING to buy alcohol is illegal.

I don't think they would accept a certificate of registration as a form of ID anyway.

Do you really need alcohol that bad? Using or attempting to use fake IDs in this post 9/11 world is a VERY bad idea. It is outlined in the patriot act that any citizen in posession of a false ID could (and likely will) be considered a terrorist and prosecuted as such.

Besides, you need either a drivers license or a state ID to purchase alcohol in the US. No store would even accept a "certificate of registration" as a form of ID to sell you liquor. YES YES YES. DONT BE STUPID.
