How can you tell when a lime goes bad (or a lemon for that matter)?!

Question:

How can you tell when a lime goes bad (or a lemon for that matter)?

Answers: You can't always tell by the color, but when it's gone it either gets soft or really hard!
. a brown spot forms on it and it gets lumpy looking... taste it:) It becomes soft and starts to mold. it starts growing soft and it changes from its normal color to like gray or brown. soft, mushy, deformed looking with brown spots. If you cut it open it will look like honey comb missing most of the juice. when it shrivles up and sasses you back! when the po-lice come by the house looking for it.
