Question:

How many cigars is normal to smoke in one evening?

help please?

Answers:
First of all, to the poster who said cigars are meant to be smoked over several evenings: I regret to tell you that's just not so. The more you re-light a cigar, the harsher the smoke will get, plus a partially-smoked cigar will dry out and become harsher over time as well (and there is NO WAY you want to put a partially-smoked stogie in a humidor with fresh sticks-- it'll reek up the other smokes terribly). It may be acceptable to re-light the cigar a few times during the course of an evening but over several evenings, it's just not worth it, as the taste will deteriorate horribly.

To answer the original query, it depends. I know some folks who smoke up to 10 cigars a day, and will go through 4-6 in an evening of dinner, drinks, and just hanging out. I don't smoke cigars every day, and when I do, I usually smoke 1-3 a day. It also depends on the blend and size of the cigars. For example, a little cigar like a petit corona can be smoked in about 1/2 hour comfortably, wheras a big honkin' double corona could take 1 1/2 to 2 hours. If you're a novice smoker, a strong blend might bite your tongue a bit, and more than one cigar may be unadvisable-- having said this, here's some advice: if you're planning to smoke a number of sticks during the course of the day/ evening, you should smoke them in order of power, from mildest to strongest. Otherwise, after a powerhouse smoke, the milder ones will taste like nothing more than hot air.

Hope this helps!

Miami-born and raised, have worked in the industry (where I still have several close friends), and have smoked cigars since high school.

3-4 depending on your mood lol i`m jst taking a guess lol

More than one makes me sick to my stomach.

Normal...huh...Now days the answer is NONE.Myself once in a while a good whiskey soaked(Makers Mark) cigar at the car races is kinda yummy.I'll say to limit yourself to one. That way you can fully enjoy what you are paying for,and not a mix of flavors you can't appreciate or afford.

For full sized cigars (not cigarillos or minis) I'd say one is normal, but I do know a couple people that can smoke two in a row.

none.

Fine cigars are supposed to be enjoyed over the course of several evenings. That is why they burn so slowly. Smoke a little, then cut the end off and store it in a safe, dry place. Or get yourself a humidor. Don't smoke them like cigarettes, you need to savor them and enjoy them. Other cheap cigars and cigarillos are just that - cheap... smoke them as you want.

Maybe 3 cheap ones? I guess there's no rule. Cheap American cigars, like the kind you will find at the corner smoke shop or liquor store are nothing like expensive ones... Most of the expensive ones are imported from Honduras or some other Central American countries.

It varies from person to person.

One of y colleagues smokes between 7 and 10 per day. The most I have ever been able to do in a day is 5, but I have only did that a few times and I have been smoking cigars for 12 years.

George Burns use to smoke 10 churchill size cigars everyday and he lived to be 100 years old.

I'd say one is light, two is moderate/serious and 3+ is quite heavy.
