Does anyone know how to make Jello shots?!

Question:

Does anyone know how to make Jello shots?

I had them at a party and want to learn how to make them myself. I also want to know what's the best liquor to put in them.

Answers:
Usually 50/50 liquor to water works good. But you'll actually want to use the "jiggler" recipe and actually boil the Jello mix in the water, then add to the liquor. The boiling makes it firm up even more and you'll need that with a 50/50 mix.

Any liquor works. I've done vodka in almost every flavor. Tequila and lime Jello is good. Rum and any of the berry flavors is good too. You can actually use Bacardi 151 and use 1/4 cup less water. The result is Jello that you can actually light in fire (good times).

Look at the amount of water that needs to be added (on side of box) and substitute forty percent of that water with at least a medium grade vodka. Use only vodka or maybe a bit of a "schnapps" type alcohol to give a little different flavor but the main alcohol should be vodka.

A gelatin shot or jello shot (often known as a vodka jelly in the United Kingdom) is a party food where some sort of alcohol, usually rum, vodka, tequila or sometimes even grain alcohol replaces some of the water or fruit juice used to congeal the gel.

OK very easy....Make the jello like you normally would, but use your water as you hot liquid and your liquor as your cold. I always use vodka in mine and they are great cant even taste the liquor which can get you in trouble sometimes,...lol. But I know people that use rum, either one works...and if you want a stronger jello shot don't use water at all just 2 cups of liquor!
