Do bouncers actually check to see if your ID is real or not?
i was thinking about having a few graphics designers make a fake ID for me so i can get into clubs. if theres a thousand people waiting at the door, would the bouncer actually do a bend test and check for the hologram?

Yes! No matter how many customers they have, they need to check your ID thoroughly. You can't just get off the hook my making a fake ID, it's a felony, so don't do it.

It depends on where you live. I know in Cali. they are VERY strict.

Be careful, a lot of bouncers are moon lighting cops and they can spot bad ID's real fast.
if its a high end club like the ones that are normally downtown yes they do. either by eye or they swipe it..they can pic out a fake in a sec.they are trained to.now if you go to a lower one kinda ghetto,rundown then you might get by,my suggestion is try to get someones old i.d. that looks just like you..(not expired)but yeah they do check and will take the i.d. if its a fake..

well i was a bouncer and basically we were just told to let the "cool" ppl in so fake or not doesnt matter although bein a girl helps a lot. somethin to think about
Absolutely . The heat from the law is getting tougher on clubs . They send in their own shills just to test the club . The pix on the ID's is usually the downfall . Also the numbers on the license (they usually start with the first letter of the last name on the ID) . Lots of tricks to get caught in .

I've been to clubs that ID everyone and are very strict about checking IDs with black lights and special machines to make sure that your ID is real. then I've been to bars where the bouncers could care less.
YES!! They get fined heavily, loose their liquor license, and in most cases have to shut down for a period of time. Not to mention all of the lost profits!!
I went to the gas station near my house to get cigarettes tonight, and they got caught selling to a minor. There weren't any on the shelf!! The guy told me it was their third offense. When I went across the street to another store, they said they got caught twice this year also!! I was very surprised, I really didn't think it was that common.
For Nightclubs, and Bars it's the same thing. One fake ID can ruin it for everyone else, and it hurts the companies business in the long run!
They do at the club I frequent. Very thorough.
Like stated above, you may be able to get by at a club that's more run down/ghetto or what not, but higher end places will always be thorough. Their jobs depend on it. (They could inadvertently lose their liquor license if an underage person got in and had trouble.)
As a Bouncer in the past, I always checked to see if I.D.'s were real. Checking the hologram is only one of several tests to see if a drivers license is authentic or not. There are several others also and they vary from state to state. I would never put my job on the line by accepting a fake i.d. Most states consider trying to pass a fake i.d. as a felony of some sort. Save your self the grief and embarrassment and don't even try it. I kept the fakes, took pictures of the person trying to pass it and gathered other info and handed it to law enforcement. BTW a Bouncer is considered as a law enforcement officer, just like a "rent a cop". Be smart and don't get caught up in trying to pass of a fake i.d. Many of us carry portable black lights or other little tools to check authenticity. You will get caught! maybe not this time but you will eventually get caught.
with me, my frineds runs a strip club, and a night club in houston, with me, i know the bouncers and the managers. so they really dont even care. but yea we strictly look for the hologram, but if its a busy night we use a swipe down. Its a state software tht tells us how old u are. so yea dont even try. and if i know its fake, i will cut your id in front of you. i've dont it and i will do it again.
I think they are pretty strict about that. If they get caught letting someone underage in they could lose their job.
My nephew was a bouncer while in college. The club he was at was very careful about the Id's. Even when people complained about the wait, the ID's were still checked. They didn't want the business shut down and the loss of their job because someone was in a hurry.
your eyes say it all , with practise you can recognise the free loaders so dont do it . its not so important to go where all r going
