Do I Have Cabernet Sauvignon Wine?!
Do I Have Cabernet Sauvignon Wine?
I have a bottle red grape juice (cabernet sauvignon) from 1995...so this thing has been aging for 12 years and has developed the particles. What I would like to know is if my grape juice has become wine? if so..what do you average the percentage of alcohol in it would be? Additional Details

does that make a difference? If your grape juice was pasteurized, there is very little chance that wine yeast has gotten into it, and even less chance if it is unopened. What is likely is that bacteria has gotten into it, making it sour or rotten. It could even be moldy. No. More likely you just have vinegar Probably just bad rotten grape juice or maybe vinegar. wow yea it's got to be wine now...i seriously suggest you drink it, im sure it will taste great. Unless there is yeast in that bottle, you have very rotten grape juice.
Also, if the bottle you have is corked, the particles are probably pieces from the cork. Wine needs to be laid on it's side while storing for more than a year to keep the cork moist, otherwise it will rot.
