Suggestions for a non-skunky beer?!

Question:

Suggestions for a non-skunky beer?

I want to try a beer (other than the bud, miller, and coors) that doesn't have that skunky taste to it, but that I can still get at any local grocery store. Thinking about maybe labatt blue? Any other suggestions for non-skunky beers?

Answers:
Try going for the more citrus beers. IE: Blue Moon "serve with an orange slice" and also some Hefewiezen beer with a lemon slice. Have a nice Guiness

labatt is similar to bud, horrible. Try sam adams, it's a good American micro brew beer.

It's good that you want to get away from the standard fare and start drinking beer. Beck's, Adams, Sierra Nevada are all dependable brews. There's a whole world of taste out there, but some of it requires an educated palate. Probably you should start with lagers first and move on over to ales gradually. After a while, the mass market "beers" will be the skunky ones...

Try a beer that does not come in a green or clear bottle. If light hits the bottles, the yeast can react to the light and may change the flavor...not always for the better. Labatt is a decent, inexpensive beer. For a microbrew, I recommend the line of Flying Dog beers that are available at many groceries (assuming you are in the US). They have several different varieties and all are good..especially the Pale Ale. The Sam Adams vairety is good also. BTW, they all come in dark brown bottles which limits the abount of light that can affect the beer.
