The previous answer covered the basics ... essentially, all beers fall into the general classification of lagers or ales (a few blur the lines between the two, but we won't get into those).

"Malt" could be any beer, really, since "malted" grains are used in brewing all conventional beers (barley, wheat, rice, even maize).

"Draft" (or draught) beers are, technically, beers on tap - served from a cask or a keg. Loosely, the definition fits any beer that is not bottled. All beers, ales or lagers, can be "draft" beers.

Not sure what ya mean by "regular" beer, so I can't help ya there.

Hope this is helpful to you, none the less.

There are really 2 types of beer: Ales and Lagers. Ales are fermented at a warmer temperature (top fermenting) and you get more flavors from the yeast and they tend to be heartier and leave more sugars behind. Lagers are brewed at colder temperature (bottom fermenting) for a longer period of time and it keeps the yeast less active and produces a "cleaner" beer but lacking a big flavor profile from the yeast.

Malt is in reference to the what is going in to the mash. When you brew beer you have what is called a mash made usually of hops, barley, and yeast. When someone is making a malt beer they are referring to what went into the mash in order to create that beer. Malt beers are usually on the rich side. They have a lot of flavor to them and there are so many different kinds. A lager is referring to a light beer that is chilled before serving. Ale is tradtionally served at room temprature. The term Lager refers to the fact that that beer was fermented in a cold holding tank. Lager is an english refering to how long the beer is held in this tank. Draft vs.bottled is simply like coke from a soda fountain vs. from a bottle. It honestly tastes better. I know this is a lot of information. But interesting!
