Can you recommend a red wine for less than £10?!

Question:

Can you recommend a red wine for less than £10?

(preferably soft and fruity).

Answers: Try something a wee bit different, and try Bonardo from the Co-op, it retails at about £5.00, and fills your requirements. Although soft with plenty of fruit, it does have good body and structure to it.

You don't say whether it is to accompany food or just for drinking, but if it is for food, try some nice lamb chops, served with slow roasted plum tomatoes with rosemary and garlic, and crushed new potatoes tossed in butter and dijon mustard (about a teaspoonful of mustard no more). Merlot (Definately less than £10 in Asda) Try Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon; there are quite a few on the market. My favourite is Don Cayetano, but don't confuse it with a white wine which bears the same name. cant think of the name of it, but victoria wines and most off licences/wine shops sell South African red wine which is absolutely delicious, and is soft and fruity and relatively cheap (about £6 i think). any red fruity wine Merlot is good with red meat but I find it a bit oaky, tesco is always doing deals on wine i got a good Chardonnay £12 half price and in Adda it was really £12, I t always good to shop around a mean £6 saving Is £6 in your pocket don't you think? enjoy

Ryan Dior Lindermans 3for a tenner in bargain booze red sangria The Roo bros. Red Roo, from Australia. It's the nicest soft fruity wine i have tasted in ages.available in Morrison's its normally £5.19 its on offer at the moment at £3.99 Yes you can if you want that way loads of people will come to you for some red wine and some food if you try to become or already are a chef. try moms, found at the local store where gaylord focker picked some up at! Torbreck Winery (in southern Australia in the Barossa Valley) makes some fantastic red wines. Thats the good news. The bad news is that most cost quite a bit more than you're willing to spend (around $150 USD). The good news is that one of the best they make is in the $20-30 USD range and is fantastic! Its called Woodcutters Shiraz. Its a wonderfully soft and fruity wine.

Warning - don't be put off by the screw-top on the wine. Many wineries are switching their younger wines to screw top because its more cost effective and better at conserving the flavor of a young wine.

Have fun!
