Value of a bottle?!

Question:

Value of a bottle?

my husband found an old bottle of White Heather Whiskey Scotch the label says 1931... its 94 proof, we are wondering how to tell the value of it. if you have any ideas please let me know.

Answers: White Heather Scotch whisky is made today and is worth $30. A way to establish if this is an older bottle would be to look at its volume. If it is given in some fraction of a quart, then it would be an older bottling. However, if it's 75 cl, then it is a more modern bottle.

Anyway, White Heather is a blend and would not have the value of a single malt for collectors. its really probably not worth that much. it may be of interest to an antique collector depending on the condition of the label, but i used to clean out estates and the old old booze was never really sold or gotten excited about. Just because the label says "1931" does not mean the botle is that old [think of a Jack Daniels whiskey bottle -- they all say: "since 1866", but that does not mean it is the actual age of the bottle]. : )

Here is a website that assesses the value of artifacts:

Good luck! :)
