Cocktail Waitress?!

Question:

Cocktail Waitress?

I'm interested in becoming a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas but I have no experience. Can anyone tell me where I should look to gain the experience. Thanks alot

Answers:
Hotels usually hire cocktail waitresses... go local and apply
6 months of experience should do it. Plus some places like "virgins" because you haven't learned any bad habits. They can instruct you in their style of service without worrying you may resort back to previous training.

look for local school, they usually have courses in which you can learn in as short as 6 wks.

just go in and ask for a job, or start serving somewhere and then you can have that on your resume! good luck!

the fact of the matter is if you want to be a cocktail waitress at a good spot in Vegas the best place to start is the plastic surgeon and get some balloons, that's what they look for

Don't take any classes, that is a waste of your time. Find a high volume bar or a resturant that uses cocktail waitresses. I use to cocktail and I liked it. You have to be organized. It is fast paced and requires a lot of energy. My advice always ask "Can I get you something from the bar" or "Can I get you a cocktail" otherwise you will be working your rear off for ice teas and waters with lemon all night. Wishing you well!

just ask and wear something skimpy..
