Question:

What is a well drink and a domestic drink?

i am going to a club this weekend and they have drink specials and they are on well drinks and domestic drinks i cant seems to find anything on a search engine on what they are.

Answers: Well drinks are not named brand liquors. (for instance, don't specify a certain kind of liquor like Bacardi, or Jack Daniels) Just ask for vodka, gin, rum, tequilla, whiskey, bourbon, or scotch. You can order them with a mixer like soda or juice. (red bull for a mix would be an up-charge) example would be vodka and orange juice, rum and coke or whiskey and 7up. Domestics means domestic beers... anything that is made locally in your country is considered domestic. Like in the United States, Budweiser, Miller lites, Coors light, rolling rocks, etc. Heineken's and Corona's are made in other countries, therefore they would be imported. Good luck, there are many things you will find to drink under the drink specials. Have fun! well drinks are also sometimes called rail drinks. these are the cheaper "house" liquors that are poured when you order a simple gin and tonic, whiskey and coke, rum and coke etc. a call drink would be for example, tanquaray and tonic, jack and coke, captain and coke etc. domestics refer to beers that are produced in the u.s. that are generally cheaper. i.e. budweiser, bud light, miller lite, coors etc. Well drinks are made from the "regular" stock, or not premium liquor. The brands and grade of the liquor varies from place to place.
Domestic drinks mean the beer served. Domestics are the american made brews like Miller, Bud, Coors, etc. Beers like Corona & Dos XX are imports. I didn't know the answer but at lest i saw the answer on stopsmelting2000.Hope you got it. Well drink is any type of liquor that is not cosidered "top shelf" or expensive. vodka example would be smirnoff, not grey goose. domestic beer is US beer not imported. budwieser not coronna "Well" drinks are those made with house liquors. Usually they are called highballs, like a rum and coke or vodka tonic. The term "well" refers to the fact that it is a house liquor, which will be a cheaper, lower-end liquor that is good for use with mixers (soda or juice).
Domestic drinks are domestic beers, such as Budweiser or Miller Lite. These are only 2; there are plenty of domestic beers. Specials on these drinks are usually limited to drafts, but depending on where you go may include bottles. what did you just turn 21? you got your top shelf drinks! (well known brands-more $$$) wells- like bud, budlight, highlife/ domestic-bass, hiney, stella, Well drinks are the cheapest nastiest liquor they offer - it's kept in the "well" of the bar - generally out of sight because it's that bad.
Domestic is anything produced in country and refers to beer - so if you live in the US, it would include beer made in the US (Miller, Bud products, Busch, etc...)
Hope that helps. domestic drinks are those that are not imported. Im in canada and we dont use the phrase well drinks, but its the same deal. our well drinks here would be the liquor on the tree, the cheap stuff that is used for regular drinks on a daily basis. Anything that isnt on the shelf behind the bartender, those are likely there premium liqours and more expensive.
