Why wine is not added sweet? Is it naturaly not with sugar, like any other fruit juice

Answers: Both red and white wines have sweet varieties. Its all a matter of personal taste. Have a search around the web for information about wines and I'm sure you'll find the names of sweet wines. As previously said, the sugar is used in the fermentation process, but in addition there are a lot of other procedures used in making different characters, some wines even have additional sugar added to interrupt fermentation or give a second fermentation. Some wines are made from grapes harvested late so they have over-ripened on the vine (these are often VERY sweet) and occasionally a vine will be attacked by a special type of mould which causes the wine to have another characteristic. When juice ferments to form wine, the sugar is chemically changed to alcohol. Red or White are Beautiful Colours, But You should know very well Wine are not Sweet, or taste Its damage your Liver and Kidney, Don't Drink Alcohol, Learn love your body, Bless you God ! if sweet, red! There are several different types of white wine, each with its own unique flavoring. Red wine has a stronger after taste. White zinfandel is sweet. Usually winemakers try NOT to add sugar to the grape juice/wine as it ferments because it will change the flavour of the resulting wine. There are many varieties of both red and white wine which are sweet, however.

The fruit does have natural sugars, but some varieties make better sweet wines than others. Look for an icewine or dessert wine for very sweet types.

Also, native North American grapes make very good sweet wines: Concord, Niagara, Catawba...concord is red wine, that's also what they make Welch's jelly from, Niagara is a white wine, and Catawba often makes a very nice sweet rose.

When/if you are looking for a sweeter wine, ask about the "residual sugar" A dry wine, one that is not sweet, will have no residual sugar. A sweet wine will have anywhere from 1% to about 5% residual sugar, in my experience if you want sweet, your best bets are wine coolers, or arbor mist fruit blend wines. true wines (the kind wine drinkers prefer) are not super sweet, they are not mixed with fruit flavors, and no sugar is added. no real red wines are sweet, the sweetest white wines are white zinfandel, or riesling. If you want a white wine that taste sweet try Riesling from Washington state. It's by how fruity the wine is that makes it taste sweet.
