It's not poison...quite the opposite. Most bitters were developed from medicinal tinctures.

However, Bitters and Tonic supposedly is a good stomach tonic. Also, Bitters on a sugared Lemon slice cures the hiccups!
Back to your question, you would put bitters in a drink if you are 80-120- years old! you obviously do not have a bottle and are just spewing nonsense.
