her ex. you have a little sip of beer (or somthing) and once its out of your system you sober. (you where never drunk).

Answers: I think "sober" refers to the complete lack of intoxicants---alcohol or otherwise--- in your system. It doesn't matter whether you have drank and then "sobered up". You are either sober, or you are not.

Case in point: I have a 7-year-old nephew, and naturally he has never had a drink in his life. He's entirely sober. And hopefully he'll stay that way for another 14 years! sober is the lack of alcohol in your system. It doesn't take too long for alcohol to get out of your system. For me it's about 1 hr per beer. Sober doesn't mean that you had to have consumed some type of alcohol in the past. Sober means that you have not consumed any alcohol or have not consumed enough alcohol to be intoxicated.

Sober is the opposite of intoxicated. GOiNG SP LONG W/O ALCOHOL iS THE SOBER PART.
iF YOU HAVENTDARNK iN 3 DAYS AND YOU HAVE A DRiNK ONE DAY, YOUR NOT SOBER. In most states, to pass a drunk driving sobriety test, you have to be under .08% blood alcohol content. So by legal definition, if you've only had a couple beers, you're still technically sober. dont know dude yaaaa so·ber /?so?b?r/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[soh-ber] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation adjective, -er, -est, verb
