Answers: By being too young to buy it, with nobody to buy it for you. Jk, although that would work. I have a feeling you are older. I guess you just have to find an alternative that makes you feel good. Green tea, is VERY healthy, and if you drink lets say 5, 8 ounce glasses, you'll feel pretty good. And you could do that instead of getting drunk. I do that sometimes. I am pretty into alcohol too. I guess willpower would be the best, wouldn't it. See I am actually 20 (underage) and I am an acoholic from college. So...good luck...I need it too, and so does my boyfriend. AA keep drinking If your an Alcoholic there is only one thing that works.
Don't drink, go to meetings, read the book.
If your the spouce or family member of an alcholic you need to go to alanon. Suggest the person go to A A (alcoholics anonymous) if they want to.
However, remember, some people just like to drink. Just because you think a person is an alcoholic, does not mean they need treatment. Drinking can be fun and relaxing. Hey, the alternative, taking anti-depressant medication, is hardly better.
There's a reason why alcohol has been around for 2000 years or more (even Jesus drank alcohol).
If you think someone has a drinking problem, tell them about A A.
Remember: A A's slogan is: "If you want to drink and can, that's your business" (and yes, it is. If someone wants to drink and can, and is otherwise productive, let them do so).

Yes, if you can't stop drinking but want to, you need help.
Just my opinion, I am a functional alcoholic. Never been to A A. I like my booze to much. I hold down a $50 K ++ per year job, full time, have a house, a husband, a couple of pets, pay my taxes. I also like to drink, big deal. Not everyone agrees with it. Not everyone agrees with anything. Some people are teetotallers. If they like it, good for them. Go figure. I like my booze.

a) the alcoholic or,
b) a relative or a person close to him
2. If the alcoholic, a rehab center will help him to overcome the vice.
