What's your favorite wine?!

Question:

What's your favorite wine?

We have a few bottles of more pricey wine that I've never tasted, as we are saving them for a special occasion, so I'll let you know on those!

I usually like cheap but yummy table wines during the week, like Blackstone Merlot.

What's your favorite wine and why? I'd love to make a list of your responses and go wine shopping!

Answers:
There are some excellent and highly rated wines that are extremely affordable. A great one is Little Penguin Cabernet. The 2005 got an 88 rating and it tastes excellent. Plus it is a whopping $5.99 a bottle. The 2005 Greg Norman Petite Syrah is even better and priced around $10. If you like Italian, Vitiano Falesco is superb and around $10. The 2005 Rosemont Shriaz is also great and affordable. For whites, Chateau Ste Michelle has a variety of great chards, some from their single vineyards. Hope this helps.

My favourite wine is Grape wine.

i love anythng turning leaf makes.

canadian ice wines are not too bad either.

Lindemans bin 45 is a nice red wine as for white I think my favorite is blossom hill Chardonnay

Any mersault

Pinot Grigio is a fine wine and delicious.
I have come to like the California wines. some of them arenot too expensive and are very good. They make a wonderful Chardonnay; and a Rhine wine. They also make a nice tasting Rose (ros-ay)

Anything from Martin & Weyrich Winery. They are excellent wines that are priced well. I particuliary like their Sangiovese and their Edna Valley Chardonnay.

Snoqualmie Chenin Blanc, Clos du Bois Chardonnay, Coppola Shiraz and Pinot Nior

I know someone who makes great strawberry wine I believe that has been one of the best I have tasted.

I don't go by brands. I prefer a red wine, and I like Italian and German wines over French. I also like Missouri wines over California wines, but that may be because I'm from Missouri, and they are largely based on German wines, and use German types of grapes.

Australian Shiraz would be tops on my list, specifically from the Barossa Valley. And if you can find yourself a vintage from 1999 (very rare) or 2002 (still doable) then you'll have one of the best examples of a Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Having said that, my favourite so far would have to be the Peter Lehman Eight Songs Shiraz. I cracked open a bottle of this for our anniversary and it was absolutely the best wine I've had in a long time.

The nose was dark chocolate and plums.
The palate was blackberry, plum and hints of chocolate.
The tannins were wonderfully soft & smooth.
And the finish just lingered on your tongue.

But at $50 a bottle, it's one of those wines I reserve for a special occasion.
