How to make vodka jelly/jello?!

Question:

How to make vodka jelly/jello?

I use the jelly powder to make jelly, and i normally use half a pint of boiling water and another half a pint of cold to make up the full pint for the mix.
Does anyone know how much vodka i should use?
Obviously i will have to reduce the amount of cold i put in but my how much, i dont want to put so much in that it will not set, plus i dont believe in wasting vodka ;-)

Answers:
half an half...try it ...its good...vodka ice cubes are good too

WHY

as Long as you make the liquid up to a pint then add as much as you want. You will have to add the boiling water first though to make sure it dissolves.

I think its for half of the water you use use vodka instead. like if you have to boil 1c only boil 1/2 cup and then put the other 1/2 c as vodka but don't boil the vodka obviously cause then there will be no point cause the alcohol will evaporate

If it's jello shots you're after, you follow the directions on the jello package, but replace 1/2 the water for you favorite liquor. Example being if it calls for 1 cup water, put 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup vodka in the mix.

Edit: Or what Sabrina said, LOL!

Try replacing half the cold water with vodka... if it doesn't set properly you'll just have to suck up the half set stuff and try again... sounds like a plan to me!

(Note to 'nightowl' - I thought spirits didn't freeze...so how do you make vodka ice cubes?)

6 ounces Jello (large package)
16 ounces Water (boiling)
6 ounces Water (cold)
10 ounces Vodka
Mix the jello mix with the boiling water until the powder is fully dissolved and add the cold water and alcohol. Pour the cooling mixture into either shot glasses or paper cups. Shot glasses are more attractive, but drinker can turn the paper cups inside-out to more easily eat the alcoholic jello

one pint is 16 ounces if you want a conversion

50% water when you dissolve let it cool to room temp and add 50% vodka! ( if making powder jelly use 300ml hot water, once cool add 250ml of vodka)

replace the cold water with cold vodka

substitute the cold water for vodka and dissolve about 5 gelatin leaves in the hot water that should set it

i always make with just vodka skip water.

Jello shots! Haven't had those since college but we always substituted the water with vodka. Thanks for reminding me of these, I just might have to make some for our next BBQ!

replace half the water with vodka... works for me every time. I LOVE vodka. Put a thin slice of orange (without the peel) on the top taste good too..

and yes vodka doesn't freezer. AT ALL Won a bet with my mom when i was 17 and scored a nip drink with dinner... hehehe

intead of half pint of water replace with half pint of vodka try it ,it will knock your socks off

use half hot water and when it says a cup for cold water put a cup of vodka in it. If you get the lime jello, teq, is best for that.
