@jaymes, I am in high school right now. Drinking for some people has become almost an addiction. Every weekend its another party and everyone drinks and smokes.
Kids these days are getting worse. Middle school kids are worse. At ages 11 to 14, they drink, they smoke cigarettes and weed, and some are even having sex. This generation is so corrupted.
School is a joke to some people.

Maybe because of peer presure and that they might think that they would get something out of it like a family because if it wasn't for alchol i probably wouldn't be here!Thats what happened to my mom any way!

Kids that drink a lot (at least in HS and god forbid MS) don't usually do as well in school, and their poor performance may be why they drink or vice versa.
If you can handle alcohol (and most HS and a good chunk of college kids can't) then you shouldn't be drinking.
Now I think the main issue is no longer peer pressure. It is a lack of role models. If we have a role model at home, great. but for those who don't have already had a bad start, whish seem to portray to a teacher a "they're a trouble maker" because alot of parents gave into the peer pressure, and their children are paying the price. Which means, alchohol uswually isn't the main problem in the childrens life, it is only a common effect of something deeper. <- Which is the true reason of the school issue
